This church replaces the previous home of St. Ilija's congregation. It consists of structural steel superstructure with a precast slab floor and a concrete basement foundation. The grade around the building varied extensively requiring: stepped foundations, exterior retaining walls and concrete stairs that create a passage from the high grade around the building to street level.
