Structural Engineer
Duties will include: structural design, team co-ordination, design meeting attendance, contract administration, field review, shop drawing review and general co-ordination with CPE staff and the larger project team (architects, owners, and other consultants). Additional duties will include leading junior engineers, designers, and technical staff to complete project documents. Software packages such as SAP, SAFE, ETABS, S-Concrete, PCA Column, PCA Slab, RAM Steel, Revit and AutoCad will be used to complete structural designs. The exact duties and immediate responsibilities with regards to leading a team will depend upon the candidate’s previous experience.
We are seeking someone with a strong base in structural engineering, with experience to share and rely upon, an eager attitude and desire to continue learning to join the CPE team. The ideal candidate would have two to five or more years of experience in a structural consulting office providing engineering services during design and contract administration phases of construction. Applicants should have a strong interest in pursuing a career in structural engineering and will have a degree in civil engineering with a concentration on structural subjects. A post-graduate degree will be an asset.
Work is to be in CPE’s office in the Leslie and York Mills area, with approximate hours of 8:30 to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. After a successful 3-month period of employment, hybrid work (up to 2 days per week remote) can be considered.
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $115,000 depending on the successful candidates’ qualifications and experience. CPE is pleased to offer a benefit package to all full-time employees. CPE has typically paid annual bonuses that vary depending on individual and company performance.
